It has been almost a year since I last used this Takoyaki Hotplate, which was a present from my brother after one of his trips to Tokyo. After receiving this new toy, I had agreed to help Joanne to buy one should my brother visit Tokyo again. That was almost a year back.
My brother did not forget! Just two weeks ago, he lugged back another Takoyaki Hotplate for Joanne. It was also a reminder that I have left my own hotplate sitting forlornly in the cupboard, out of sight, out of mind. Having used it only twice previously, I thought it was high time I made some Takoyakis (is there a plural form for takoyaki???)again.

Rusti, what's the volatge of the takoyaki hotplate ? I am in USA and as wondering if it will work here. If it's 110/220V, then it will work. I've tried looking for it but in vain. Maybe if your brother goes to Japan again, he can get one for me too ( my bro lives in SG). Let me know !

Hi Sinmal & Anonymous, The hotplate operates on 110v. So you will need a voltage converter if using in Singapore. The price should be no more than S$20 although I purchased my for S$15. HTH

May I know where did you buy your voltage converter from? I saw some at homefix but the 800 - 1000W ones are very huge.

My Japanese friend bot me this machine but I can't use it becoz of the voltage difference.
A transformer costs > $100 whereas a converter is below $40.
